Welcome to Bloordale Baseball
Attention Players, Parents and Friends of Bloordale Baseball
Bloordale Baseball is in full effect!
It is truly an amazing feeling once Spring arrives and everyone meets at the ball field for some good old fashioned fun! Baseball is a sport where kids get to interact with fellow classmates on a whole new level and build memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
Twenty years from now, our boys and girls will remember that "one play" when they stole home because the pitcher was throwing from the wind-up, they hit the go-ahead RBI, or made a spectacular, game-winning catch in the outfield. These are the moments that challenge our physical and mental awareness, build confidence and help define our purpose as members of a community.
First let me thank everyone who came out for Opening Day on May 1st, 2010. The Opening Day BBQ was a great success thanks to the participation of Bloordale Baseball players and parents. On behalf of the Bloordale Baseball Executive Committee, thank-you for coming out and showing your support for our organization. The mission of Bloordale Baseball is to provide
the game of baseball to the youth of our Etobicoke neighbourhood, Bloordale,
with an emphasis on sportsmanship, participation and fun.
Established in 1963, Bloordale Baseball is a baseball program that affords
all youngsters to play, regardless of skill level. The standard is that all
you need is a glove. No player sits — everyone plays.
Our coaches and executive are all volunteers and are usually the parents of
players. Players’ ages range from 5 to 22. Today, Bloordale offers programs
in T-ball, Rookie Ball, Softball and Baseball. We have 30 to 40 house league
teams with approximately 450 players. Slo-Pitch is available for women and
is enjoyed by many of the moms of our players. Bloordale ball is family.
